Making friends is a skill, like playing the piano or bicycle. Skills can be learned and behaviors can change. While it may take more effort for some people to feel comfortable in a group, you can learn, especially if the child is ready to make the effort and know that their support.

Positive efforts to encourage a child to socialize with others and find a friend, even when it seems that these attempts are not successful response. For example, you might say, “I liked it when my friends call me and invite me places in my seminars, I find it helpful to list what people want in a friend.
